How to Lose Weight Fast – Get Your Mind and Body Working Together



When I am asked by a client how to lose weight fast I always tell them it is not enough to just change their diet and exercise, they must also get their mind set for success. This article shares with you how to get your mind and body working together so you can better understand how to lose weight fast.

1. Get your body primed for weight loss with a simple shift in your diet. The challenge for many people who want to lose weight is that their bodies have become resistant to weight loss. This is common in people who have been overweight and inactive for a long time or who have eaten a diet high in refined carbohydrates.

To prime your body for weight loss you will need to shift your carbohydrate intake to the early part of the day. For the next two weeks consume all carbs such as breads, cereals, rice, pasta, potatoes and corn by lunchtime and eliminate these foods later in the day.

What this does is forces the body to release its dependency on quick burning carbs for energy and burn body fat as an alternative energy source.

2. You can also prime your body through the right exercise. To lose weight fast your body must be running efficiently and you can make your body more efficient through strength training exercise and interval training.

Every other day workout with weights or another form of resistance such as bands or body weight and on the opposite days do an aerobic workout with short intervals of high intensity mixed in.

3. Lock your mindset on the positive outcome you desire. One of the most overlooked tools of quick weight loss is the role your mind plays. Consider for instance if you set out to diet and exercise but the whole time you are telling yourself how much you hate to diet and exercise, will you reach your goal? No.

Continually focus on the great things you are bringing into your life from your efforts and you will continually build your positive mindset and your motivation.
