The amount of calories your body requires depends on your height, your body weight as well your body type. A person who is 5 feet tall will no need as many calories as some one is 6 Ft 5 inches tall. A thin person will not need as many calories as a person who is over weight. The way this eating plan works is pretty simple. It tells you not to eat three meals a day, instead to eat five meals. Lets say your body requires 1500 calories to function then this diet would break that down in this fashion, 3 meals of 400 calories each and 2 snacks of 150 calories each. Another great diet is the Atkins diet. This diet focuses purely on protein and fats. In this diet you would eat only protein and fat eliminating the carbohydrates completely. You would eat 4 meals which would include eggs and chicken and a cube of cheese.
