Fast Diets – What Is It That I Am Missing? Why Can’t I Lose Weight?
The reason people are having trouble losing weight these days is because most of them are looking for a “quick fix”, a diet or a pill that will take 20 lbs off of them in 10 days, without changing anything when it comes to their diet or lifestyle. The truth is, you can’t lose any “real weight” that fast. Sure, you can go on a starvation diet or some bizarre “eat only peas” for 3 weeks diet and you will see a difference on the scale…for a short time.
The problem is that these type of “fad diets” are destined to fail. So, the dieter is doomed from the beginning. On top of that, since you are starving your body of nutrients and vitamins, the dieter will often times go on an eating binge and gain all the weight, if not more weight back, leaving them even heavier and feeling worse about themselves than when they started. This causes many people to give up on dieting forever, and to just accept that its “genetics” that is making them fat…while at the same time, shoving Twinkies down the hatch. Do you see anything wrong with this picture?
Everyone can lose weight, and everyone can maintain a healthy weight. Weight loss is achievable, but you have to have a good foundation to stand on. Doing these awful “hyped” diets will get you nowhere and will probably leave you worse off than where you started. If you are reading this, you may have already tried several of these silly diets. If you have not, you are in luck, as you have found a truthful place that is not going to lie about what it is going to take for you to lose the weight, and keep it off.
Weight loss is a lifestyle. It has to be, you have to make changes that are consistent and that you can live with. If you absolutely hate exercise, its probably not a good idea to go out and buy an aerobics program. You will be much better off with one of the fast diets that offers little offers little or no exercise, that way, you will only have to change your diet up and you won’t feel slammed with having to exercise. Also maybe you are someone who is just too busy to exercise, you have kids, a demanding job, again, don’t pick a diet where you are slammed with exercise! Pick one that is mostly diet, and maybe offers a little exercise as this will help get the weight off a little faster.
If you are ready to make a commitment to yourself, to change your diet, and be willing to sacrifice, then you are probably ready to commit to a diet, and you will lose some weight. If you think there is some kind of science defying diet or magic pill out there, go ahead, go find it. Try them all. Maybe you will magically lose weight without any sacrifice or work at all. Obviously that was sarcasm. Its going to take some discipline, and sometimes it will be difficult. Don’t misunderstand, sometimes dieting is not hard and if you learn about healthy foods, about how easy it is to eat delicious healthy foods, dieting is not hard at all and can actually be enjoyable.
