Diets to Lose Weight Fast



There are a lot of “lose weight fast” diets out there and that’s actually a bad thing because most of them will do you far more harm than good. Insane starvation diets like “The Cabbage Soup” diet may help you to lose some weight very quickly but you will gain that weight right back (usually with interest) as soon as you stop the diet. If a diet consists of eating one thing repeatedly then you know you are dealing with a gimmick diet that can (and should) be ignored.

Does that mean there’s no way to lose weight fast? No, it just means that you should do it in an intelligent way. The best way to lose weight fast is with a diet which keeps your metabolism running fast. That’s why these starvation diets are so ineffective. By starving yourself you are actually greatly slowing down your metabolism! This means you actually burn fat slower than you should.

Instead of choosing a starvation diet you should choose a diet which is focused on the foods you should be eating. The foods you should be eating are called “Green Light” foods because they are the foods that you should (if you are following the correct plan) always be able to eat if you are hungry. By eating these right foods you don’t have to worry about eating too much because you will naturally feel full.

It’s also important that you choose a diet plan which includes a regular “day off” from dieting. If you haven’t heard of this idea before then hold onto your seat because it will revolutionize the way you think about dieting. It’s now known that by taking a regular day off from a diet you can actually lose weight faster because the “calorie spike” that comes from eating whatever you want every 7th day forces your metabolism into high gear which means your body will be burning fat faster.

Of course this “day off” also helps you to stick with the diet because it gives you a day to look forward to each week. It allows you to continue your social life (choose Saturday for your “day off” and you can go out and eat & drink whatever you want just like you were not dieting.) Simply put, it not only helps you lose weight faster, it also makes the diet more livable which is an aspect that you should not ignore. A diet does you no good if you cannot stick with it. You will be able to stick with a diet that includes this “day off.”
